Snowfall, cold temperatures felt from Las Vegas to Lee Canyon

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — If you plan on stepping out of the house anytime soon, make sure to grab your jacket.

As cold temperatures along with snow were felt in many parts of the valley on Tuesday.

A 13 Action News viewer in Summerlin shared this video of snow and hail.

13 Action News reporter Yasmeen Hassan also captured the weather in Summerlin.

Meanwhile, on Mt. Charleston, authorities said the Spring Mountains Visitor Gateway closed in the late afternoon due to the weather.

Lee Canyon also reported it received a foot of fresh snow overnight and was expected six more inches throughout the night.

Skiers and snowboarders excited to hit the slopes were urged to check road conditions before making the trip.

Authorities on Mt. Charleston said the snow was coming down fast and that snow tires or chains are required.
