Students ages 5-18 are invited to participate in the Derfelt back-to-school event July 31. Youth will enjoy free haircuts, eye exams and dental services from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Derfelt Senior Center in Lorenzi Park, 3343 W. Washington Ave.
Posarè Salon will provide free haircuts so that all students can look fresh before the first day of school. Clark County School District students can also take advantage of free eye exams through Eye Care 4 Kids and dental services through Future Smiles. Depending on the amount of attendees, lines for services may be outdoors; the community is encouraged to plan accordingly.
Donations of non-perishable canned goods for Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard Food Pantry will be accepted at the event. For more information, call 702-229-6601.
