Four people were detained at Sen. Dean Heller's office Thursday.
Las Vegas police responded to his office, located in the 8900 block of West Sunset Road, in reference to a protest at Heller's office. Officers found 8 protesters who wanted to speak with the senator.
A representative from the office spoke with protesters and provided them with a statement.
Police said the protesters refused to leave and were subsequently cited. According to police, no arrests were made.
The protesters were released without incident once the citations were completed.
