At least one crash occurred as cash was seen flying around on U.S. 95 near Jones Boulevard Wednesday afternoon.
Nevada Highway Patrol, however, told 13 Action News the money was fake.
Witnesses told troopers that the fake cash was tossed out of a vehicle and the crash was caused when people pulled over to grab the bills.
