Congressional candidate Lucy Flores has far outraised her Democratic primary opponents this month thanks to help from Bernie Sanders.

Flores reported raising more than $428,000 in April, after Sanders emailed his supporters last week urging them to donate to her. The two-term former assemblywoman had previously been trailing her two major opponents in fundraising.

State Sen. Ruben Kihuen reported raising more than $37,000 so far in April.

Philanthropist Susie Lee reported raising nearly $15,000 this month, but had far more cash than her opponents going into this month.

The Democrats hope to unseat incumbent Republican Rep. Cresent Hardy in Nevada's 4th Congressional District.

They've promised to report contributions weekly. Kihuen's campaign also released his tax returns and has criticized Lee and Flores campaigns for not doing the same.
