The first-ever Native American honor flight returned home to Reno Sunday.

The 43 service members on board got to visit Veterans Day memorials in Washington, D.C., according to KOLOin Reno. Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval welcomed them home.

"I want Nevada to be the most veteran and military friendly state in the country," he said.

The veterans who were on the honor flight served in the Iraq War, all the way back to World War II.
