The first Las Vegas babies of 2016 arrived just after midnight Jan. 1.
The first baby was born at 12:04 a.m. to parents Laura Reyes-Juarez and her husband Alberto Rodriguez. The baby weighed 5 pounds, 10 ounces and is 18 inches long. It's the first baby for the couple.
The child was a baby boy named Julian.
There was also a second baby born at Mountain View Hospital at the same exact time of 12:04 a.m. The baby was named Ramon. He was born to parents Jazmine Meija and Marco Hernandez.
Several other babies were born on Jan 1. as well. A baby was born at 1:52 a.m. at Spring Valley Hospital and another at 8:47 a.m. at Summerlin Hospital.
A set of twins arrived at 12:52 p.m. at Spring Valley Hospital as well.
