Firefighters are investigating a blaze at an apartment complex on the east side of the valley Sunday afternoon.
The fire started just after 2 p.m. at the apartment located at 5225 E. Charleston Blvd., near Nellis Boulevard. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from an apartment on the top floor.
The fire was contained to the apartment of origin.
No injuries were reported. Firefighters did not have release information indicating if anyone was displaced.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
