A firefighter and one person have been transported to local hospitals after a house fire near Las Vegas Boulevard and Pyle Avenue.
According to the Clark County Fire Department, the fire started around 8:45 p.m. at the 9900 block of Giles Street.
The home appears to be abandoned according to officials. Upon arrival, one civilian from inside the home was transported for smoke inhalation. A firefighter was also later transported to a local hospital after being injured on scene.
CCFD says this fire is difficult to contain due to the lack of water hydrants in the area. Firefighters are having to shuttle in water from another remote location.
