Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responded to a fire in downtown Las Vegas on Thursday morning.
The fire was reported at 6:53 a.m. in the 1800 block of Lewis Avenue near Fremont Street. At this time, it is not known what started the fire.
People only had seconds to leave their homes while the flames were raging.
"I was mostly concerned about my fiancée, my dogs getting them out the house, getting the neighbors out, trying to get everybody to safety," said Brenda Loring, a neighbor who lives in the same building as the apartment that caught fire.
Two people have been displaced.
