Clark County firefighters responded to the Palms hotel-casino early Saturday morning for what ended up being a false alarm.
Around 3:54 a.m., there was a report of smoke and evacuation on the 35th floor of the hotel, located on Flamingo Road. Crews arrived at 4:02 a.m. and heard alarms sounding and began ascending to the 35th floor.
However, upon arrival, it was determined the cause of smoke was a discharged fire extinguisher. Clark County firefighters reported there was no actual fire.
