LAS VEAGS (KTNV) — Sam Boyd Stadium was filled with excitement and cheer for the final Las Vegas Bowl game played on the stadium’s turf Saturday.

The Washington Huskies walking away with a win against the Boise State Broncos.

“Next year is going to be in the new Allegient stadium so i wanted to come check out Sam Boyd,” says Michael Bagio.

“It’s kind of bittersweet for me”

But certainly not as bittersweet as it was for former Boise State defensive back Andrew Lewis who was in attendance.

“It’s a part of history so to be here for the last bowl game that’s ever going to be here is pretty cool,” says Andew Lewis.

“Continuing the legacy of winning so hopefully we can pull out a win tonight”

No matter which side of the stadium fans sat, the passion for college football was certainly shared.

“You got to come out and represent, here in Vegas now so you might as well,” says Lewis.
