Federal officials: Veteran homelessness drops in Nevada

The number of homeless veterans in Nevada has dropped.

It is down 14 percent in Las Vegas since last year, 4.8 percent in Reno and 13.1 percent in Nevada overall, according to U.S. Housing and Urban Development. It is down 5.4 percent nationally. 

Officials say improvements to help veterans are working.
