LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The FBI is looking to add more Asian employees to the bureau.

Special agent Aaron Rouse from the Las Vegas division will be speaking about employment opportunities at an Asian Cultural Day event on Saturday.

And this comes as Vegas police officers continue to build stronger relationships with local Asian business owners, including encouraging more minorities to join the force and mirror the communities they serve.

"When they see somebody that looks like them, they feel more comfortable telling them or reporting the crimes that are happening," said LVMPD Recruiter David De Leon.

Currently, 5 percent of Las Vegas police officers are Asian.
