LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Some flights arriving in Las Vegas on Wednesday were delayed over two hours due to weather, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

The FAA says the average delay at McCarran International Airport was 2 hours and 10 minutes.

“I wasn’t sure if she would get here tonight at all,” says Katherine Fitzpatrick, who was waiting for her friend Elizabeth to make a late arrival into Las Vegas from Oregon.

“We’ve been waiting all day long for Allegiant to get to Vegas and it can’t be that bad of weather so let’s come on, get here,” says Fitzpatrick.

Elizabeth Creps made it safe and sound, and says her flight was delayed well before it even took off.

“We were suppose to take off at 12:25 but we didn’t take off until almost 3,” says Creps.
