LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A Las Vegas man is the first patient in the world to receive an experimental drug during a clinical trial to help treat his stage 4 prostate cancer.

Anthony Brasich was diagnosed with cancer nearly ten years ago, and at that time he was given two months to live.

The 71-year-old has been given several different treatments, including chemotherapy, but he says now that the new drug he started taking less than three months ago is one of the few that his body has been accepting.

The drug is called ARV-110.

"I feel much better than I had a couple of months ago. I think about it that I'm the first one, and it brings tears to my eyes that I could do something for other people,” Brasich said.

The drug is still in the experimental, but Brasich also said he would recommend the treatment to other cancer patients
