An Excessive Heat Watch has been issued for Wednesday and Thursday of this week, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures are expected to b 5 to 7 degrees above average by the middle of the week for Clark County.
High temperatures will be near 108 to 109 degrees with overnight lows in the 80s.
Not much of a breeze is expected the early part of the week but winds will pick up until they are between 10 and 20 mph on Friday with gusts up to 30 mph.
It will start to cool off a little again by the weekend but the possibility of fires will be high bevcause of the wind and hot, dry conditions.
