An excessive heat warning has been issued for Clark County for June 17 through June 20. The warning was also issued for Nye County.
The warning will go into effect at 11 a.m. Saturday and end at 11 p.m. June 20.
An excessive heat warning means that there will be a prolonged period of dangerously hot temperatures. Excessive heat can be dangerous for the elderly, children, homeless, pets and other vulnerable people. Everyone is advised to drink plenty of fluids and stay out of the sun.
