6:30 A.M. AUG. 15: The Excessive Heat Warning is still in effect. Temps were in the 80s earlier this morning but are on the rise.

6:30 P.M. 13 Action News Meteorologist Dani Beckstrom has a weather forecast update as the Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect for the Las Vegas valley.

7:45 A.M. If you or someone you know need a place to cool off, additional cooling stations have been opened because of the excessive heat warning.

5:30 A.M. Here's some advice from Chopper 13. It's definitely important to stay hydrated when it is super hot outside. Don't forget to drink while you are inside too!

Here's some more advice from Meteorologist Justin Bruce.

🔴Reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening.
🔴Hydrate, wear light and loose clothing.
🔴Most vulnerable: those outside, those without air conditioning, young children, elderly, those with chronic ailments.

5 A.M. AUG. 14: Today isn't staring out so bad but that's going to change. The Excessive Heat Warning goes into effect at 8 a.m.

An excessive Heat Warning has been issued for the Las Vegas valley for 8 a.m. Wednesday to 8 p.m. Friday, according to National Weather Service.

On Tuesday 13 Action News meteorologist shared an update on what the upgrade from a Heat Watch to a Heat Warning means for the valley. Watch her update below.
