Firefighters responded to a call from Circus Circus hotel-casino Sunday around 4 p.m. after an elevator filled with smoke.
Fire crews found a small fire underneath the elevator on the 29th floor in the Sky View Tower.
The flames were extinguished quickly. No hotel guests needed to be evacuated.
The elevator was out of service for an hour and resumed normal operation Monday morning.
