An elderly man was hurt after he was run over by his own car Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 4 p.m. in the 8700 block of West Gilmore Avenue, near El Capitan Way and Alexander Road. Police said the 82-year-old man appeared to not have placed his vehicle in park while exiting and the vehicle rolled backward with the front wheel going over his body.
The man was transported to UMC Trauma with critical injuries.
