A number of fans of the Vegas Golden Knights are upgrading their license plates to a Golden Knights branded “Vegas Born” license plate, according to the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles.
The DMV reports more than 4,500 plates were sold in the first week of availability, outpacing Nevada's 150th-anniversary plate by a large margin.
As the department said it sold 475-anniversary plates during its first week when released in 2013.
The "Vegas Born" plate has the Vegas Golden Knights primary logo surrounded by a border with the secondary logo against a black background.
Fans interested in purchasing the new plates can still so for $43 including a transfer fee.
