United Way of Southern Nevada is connecting with community members to make a difference and inviting those interested to take part in the community’s largest day of volunteering.

The 4th annual Day of Caring will take place on Oct. 4.

Held at the end of the 1 October Remembrance Week, volunteers will help our community move forward and build resiliency at nonprofits and schools across the State of Nevada.

Volunteers can sign up now for their choice of volunteer opportunity including:

● Painting school playgrounds and classrooms
● Landscaping and planting gardens
● Building furniture and benches
● Assembling food backpacks
● Cleaning up parks and schools
● Assembling hygiene kits

Volunteers will gather for breakfast and a kick off celebration featuring master of ceremonies and 13 Action News anchor Tricia Kean from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at “The Green” at Town Square Las Vegas, before heading out to project sites.

At the kick off, volunteers will receive LIVE UNITED t-shirts, breakfast and canvas tote bags.

The Day of Caring is sponsored by KTNV Channel 13 Action News, Las Vegas Review-Journal, Caesars Entertainment Corporation, Chase Bank and Wells Fargo.
