A cyclist was injured in a hit-and-run crash Wednesday evening.
The crash happened around 6:42 p.m. in the 1100 block of East Charleston Boulevard, near Maryland Parkway. Police said a red Ford Explorer with a blue driver side fender pulled into a private drive as a cyclist was crossing. The SUV hit a cyclist and then fled.
The cyclist received serious injuries and was transported to UMC Trauma.
