Cyclist discovers body on popular hiking trail

Investigators say a body was found on a popular hiking trail on Thursday.

It was reported around 4 p.m. on Mountain Loop Train at Mile Marker 34.  The body was discovered by a cyclist in the area. The trail runs between Henderson and Boulder City.

The body is described as an adult male, who may have been homeless. 

The victim was located in the desert near Railroad Pass.

The coroner is working to determine the man's identity, as well as cause of death.
