LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A Las Vegas couple are under arrest after leading Nye County Sheriff's Office deputies on a chase and resisting arrest.

It began around 5 a.m. March 25.

The couple, who have been identified as 23-year-old Alexander Reilly and 23-year old Raven Haynes-Thacker, was pulled over outside Beatty near mile marker 44.

The deputy quickly discovered that there was a warrant out for the arrest of Haynes-Thacker and attempted to place her into custody. Haynes-Thacker kicked at the deputy though and the car sped away.

The deputy began chasing the couple towards Las Vegas and called for help.

After about 40 minutes, the car made a turn and began heading towards Amargosa Valley.

The car eventually stopped at the Area 51 Travel Center and deputies once again tried to take Haynes-Thacker into custody.

Again, she resisted arrest and the deputies can be seen struggling with her outside of the car.

Eventually, both people were placed in handcuffs.

Reilly was placed into the back of a patrol car, where he began thrashing about and even broke the back window with his head.

In the meantime, Haynes-Thacker was also refusing to go quietly and managed to slip her handcuffs and attempted to grab a gun from one of the deputies. However, she was unsuccessful and the couple was finally transported to jail.

A search of their car resulted in discovery of meth, a meth pipe and a gun.

The couple is facing numerous charges including resisting arrest, battery on a police officer, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Reilly is also facing a headlight violation, evading a police officer, driving under the influence and damage to a motor vehicle.
