LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A 14-year-old is under arrest in connection with a homicide investigation in east Las Vegas from October of last year.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed the teen is facing charges that include open murder stemming from a fatal shooting that involved an 18-year-old near Pecos Road and East Carey Avenue.
Officers initially responded to reports of multiple shots fired after 11:45 p.m. on Oct. 26.

Authorities located an 18-year-old victim who was shot several times at the scene.
The man was then transported to the University Medical Center but later died.
Tuesday, the LVMPD updated its investigation with the arrest of a 14-year-old. He was taken into custody on Monday.
The boy's name will be released is if his case is waived to adult court.
