UPDATE MAY 1: New body camera video shows the moments before Henderson Police officers shot and killed a man on Sunday.

Police say that Mason Workman pulled a gun and fired a shot, hitting one of their officers.

The shooting remains under investigation.

UPDATE APRIL 30: The Clark County Coroner's office has identified the man who was killed during a shooting involving police in Henderson on April 19 as 40-year-old Mason Workman from Henderson. The cause of death is multiple gunshot wounds/homicide, the coroner says.

UPDATE APRIL 21: The Henderson Police Department identified the officers involved in a shooting on April 19 in the Anthem community.

Officer Alejandro Alcantara and Officer Conrad Lillegard were the two named bu the department Tuesday.

Alcantara and Lillegard have been employed by the department since January of 2016. Both have been assigned to the Field Operations Bureau.

The incident took place in the 2200 block of Galindo Court, and the officers have been placed on paid administrative leave since.

The shooting incident was the second since shooting that involved officers in Henderson so far in 2020.

HENDERSON (KTNV) -- An officer is recovering and one man is dead after a shooting around 9:30 p.m. in Henderson on Sunday.

Police were responding to a call near Reunion Drive and Anthem Parkway by Del Webb Middle School when an intoxicated man pulled out a gun, police say.

The officer who was shot is expected to be okay.
