Thieves targeted a local high school and got away with a pricey instrument yesterday.
Band students at Rancho High School are without their marimba after the $9,000 instrument was stolen from an outside concession stand at Rancho High School. A witness says he saw someone drive off with the instrument and the stand.
The band is scheduled to go on a trip to San Jose in October and is hoping to raise enough money to replace the instrument by then.
