Tattooed man arrested in North Las Vegas homicide investigation

Raul Lara was arrested in connection with a homicide that happened near Lake Mead Boulevard and Civic Center Drive last year.

On April 15, 2016, officers responded to the 2100 block of Carroll Street regarding a shooting around 11:15 p.m. A 34-year-old North Las Vegas man was located outside the building suffering from a gunshot wound. He later died from his injuries at the hospital.

After an investigation, North Las Vegas police obtained an arrest warrant for Raul Lara on Sept. 29, 2017. They apprehended him at 1819 Loida Court the next day, which is near Ann Road and Clayton Street.

Lara was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for one count of conspiracy to commit murder, one count of murder with a deadly weapon, two counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, and one count of prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
