Detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred at 3644 S. Ft. Apache Road, near Spring Mountain Road.
At 11:33 p.m. on Dec. 19, a male victim died at the scene after being shot. Officers say a man that lived in the Venicia apartment complex on Fort Apache Road parked his car and was approached by robber(s) as he began walking toward his apartment. The robber(s) shot him in the chest and stole his phone and money.
They believe the suspect may have been waiting for him to return home and specifically targeted him. The suspect(s) have not been caught and the investigation is ongoing.
