A local family in east Las Vegas is hoping surveillance footage of a burglary will help identify the suspects.
Debbie and Gary Helton said they have lived on Carmichael Avenue, near Stewart Avenue and Nellis Boulevard, for 29 years and nothing like this has ever happened. The incident occurred around 11 a.m. Friday.
A neighbor took video of three men carrying items tucked under blankets. The Heltons said an Xbox, laptop, tablet and two loaded guns were taken from the home. The stolen items and damage from the break-in amounted to about $5,000, according to the family.
"That's why I'm so concerned. They are now armed and dangerous," Gary said. "They have weapons and they have the bullets to use them and we need to let everybody know that these guys need to be off the streets as fast as possible and stop this."
