A local family is on high alert after surveillance cameras catch someone breaking into their truck outside their house near Lake Mead Boulevard and Simmons Street.
The video shows the man walking up to the truck and breaking his way inside before going through the glove compartment. The owners said he took pictures of their insurance documents and other paperwork.
"He was very brazen," Rebecca Martin said. "He didn't care about dogs barking, he didn't care about security lights, nothing. He knew everything was fine."
The family says when they went out the next morning a tire on the truck was flat and there were screws around it on the ground. They also say someone tried to break into their home several days later.
