UPDATE: Police arrest accomplice in North Las Vegas 7-Eleven shooting

UPDATED ON MAY 23: Later in the investigation, detectives made contact with 26-year-old Victor Sanders, who was an accomplice in the incident.  Sanders was subsequently booked at Las Vegas City Detention Center for the charges of conspiracy to commit robbery and attempt robbery.

The man that was shot and killed on the scene has been identified as 19-year-old Jerardo Moncayo.

NORTH LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- A security guard killed a man who was shooting in a 7-Eleven Monday morning.

According to North Las Vegas police, a man walked into the 7-Eleven near Pecos Road and Lake Mead Boulevard and started shooting.

Police said a contracted security guard was on scene and returned fire, killing the man. 

Police do not believe robbery was a motive. However, police did say there was some sort of incident at the location Sunday night and they're trying to determine if the man killed was part of that.

Police said there were no customers inside the store when it happened.
