On October 13, 2016, shortly after 6 a.m., the department says officers responded to reports of a shooting at a business on East Lake Mead Boulevard between Hollywood Boulevard and Mt. Hood Street.

When they arrived they found a man lying in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say the man had been involved in a fight with two other men, which escalated into a physical altercation in the moments before the shooting.

Two suspects fled the scene in a small silver car prior to officers’ arrival, police said at the time.

It was the 133rd homicide investigated by the LVMPD in 2016.

Police continue to ask for help with the investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police at 702-828-3521 or homicide@lvmpd.com.
