Police looking for man who robbed sleeping woman

Las Vegas police have released a sketch of a man they believe was involved in a recent home invasion, robbery and attempted sexual assault.

Patrol officers were dispatched to a residence near the intersection of 17th Street and Wengert Avenue shortly before 11 p.m. on April 18.

The victim says that she was at home asleep when she was awakened by a man who was armed with a gun. He allegedly demanded money and jewelry. He also attempted to sexually assualt the victim. The victim left before officers arrived.

The man was described as an adult black male, 5-feet 5-inches tall and about 150 pounds. His black hair was worn in dreadlocks that hang to his chin and he was clean shaven at the time. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with white lettering on the front.

The man fled the scene in the victim's vehicle, which is a white 2006 Dodge Dakota pickup with Nevada license plate 681TZX. If the vehicle is spotted, do not approach and call 911.
