LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Police say they are investigating an overnight shooting on the Las Vegas Strip Monday.
Two groups got into an altercation on the casino floor at the Venetian hotel-casino just after 12:15 a.m.

Security was able to break up the altercation but the groups met up a short time later on Las Vegas Boulevard and Palazzo Drive where four men again started fighting.
Authorities say during the fight, one of the men started to retrieve a handgun from his waistband and a struggle ensued and the gun went off.
One of the men involved was shot in the abdomen and transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
After the shooting, the suspected gunman was taken into custody near the Treasure Island hotel-casino.
Officers say an investigation continues into the incident.
