A physician assistant who had her license suspended has been arrested on six counts of unlawful acts relating to the distribution of certain controlled substances, according to the Nevada Department of Public Safety.

Angela Lorenzo's arrest was made on May 23 by the Department's Investigation Division with assistance from the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Investigative Strike Team. She was booked into the Clark County Detention Center.

Previously, Lorenzo lost her license for the death of 62-year-old Leann Kasper, as well as her questionable treatment of other patients. She was also charged with multiple counts of malpractice and deceptive conduct.

The Department of Public Safety says the investigation into the controlled substance charges is ongoing.
