Pahrump Valley High School employee arrested for selling meth to juveniles

A 38-year-old health aide for Pahrump High School was arrested on Thursday for selling drugs to juveniles.

Nye County Sheriff's Office says that Verona Worthington and 21-year-old Daniel Sandquist sold methamphetamine to 2 juveniles at a Pahrump park on Dec. 18.

On Dec. 19, they executed a search warrant at Worthington's home. Inside the home, they found meth, drug paraphernalia and a felony fugitive -- 50-year-old William Toldt.

During the search, Sandquist arrived at the residence.

Both Worthington and Sandquist reportedly confessed that they sold drugs to the juveniles.

Worthington is facing charges of being under the influence of a controlled substance, conspiracy to violate the uniform controlled substance act, possession of meth, sale of meth, child abuse/neglect and other charges.

Holdt is facing charge of being under the influence, conspiracy to violate the uniform controlled substance act, possession of meth, sale of meth, child abuse/neglect and previous charges.

Sandquist is facing charges of being under the influence, conspiracy to violate the uniform controlled substance act, child abuse/neglect and probation violation.
