One person arrested after homicide in North Las Vegas

NORTH LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — North Las Vegas police detectives are investigating an early evening homicide.

At around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, patrol officers were dispatched to the area of East Tonopah Avenue and Princeton Street after receiving reports of an injured person laying in the street.

Upon arrival, officers found a man in his 40s who had apparently been a victim of battery. The victim was transported to University Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

At this time, detectives have one person in custody, who is still going through the booking process. Charges are pending.

The Clark County coroner will identify the deceased after relatives have been notified.
