North Las Vegas Police looking for help to find person responsible for June 10 homicide

NORTH LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Detectives have been working a homicide investigation that occurred last month on June 10. Detectives need the public’s help identifying a potential suspect in this case.

The preliminary investigation revealed at about 2:45 p.m. June 10, officers were dispatched to the 4100 block of Donovan Way near Craig Road in reference to illegal shooting. Three male homeless persons in the area were in an argument with four other persons, three males and one female. Gunfire erupted by one of the three males. Two of the three homeless victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and the third victim succumbed to his wounds and died later that night.

Two of the suspects were caught on surveillance video, in the area together, on the day of the shooting.

Suspect 1 - Black male, late teens early 20s, about 6 feet, 170 pounds, and black braided hair. Rides a BMX style bike with red rims and red pegs. On the day of the shooting, he was seen wearing a white t-shirt, gray shorts, white sneakers with a brown backpack.

Suspect 2 - Black male, late teens early 20s, about 6 feet, 170 pounds, and black cornrows. Rides a scooter. On the day of the shooting, he was wearing a grey t-shirt/gray pants/dark Vans.

Two of the same suspects were captured on surveillance in May, a few weeks prior to the shooting wearing different clothing.

Detectives are still working on a motive for the homicide and are working around the clock attempting to identify a suspect at this time.
