Macabasco’s brother contacted police on the morning of Jan. 29 and said his brother had been beaten the night he disappeared and was dropped off at Red Rock Casino or Red Rock Canyon completely naked and soaked with water.

Prior to his disappearance, Macabasco was observed fighting with his girlfriend, 19-year-old Samantha Cruz.

Since Cruz was the last person known to have contact with Macabasco, detectives with Missing Persons made contact.

Police detectives searched Cruz’s home and found Macabasco in hiding. The young man told police he had been beaten by 20-year-old Matthew Wingco and 20-year-old Emmanuel Saenz-De-Tejada and said he “deserved the beating and wanted to take it like a man.” He also said he wasn’t sure he wanted to press charges against anyone.

Police obtained a search warrant for her vehicle and recovered a dash camera.

The footage showed Cruz picking up Macabasco and driving him to Olympia Sports Park on the night of Jan. 27. While at the park, Macabasco was “severely beaten” by three Asian males.

After the attack was stopped because of an unidentified person walking a dog, Cruz ordered Macabasco back into her car and drove him to a remote desert area near Quarter horse and Cactus Avenue.

There, he was beaten a second time. Cruz can be heard on the video telling Macabasco that he is a rapist and encouraging him to kill himself.

After the second beating, Cruz drove Macabasco to her home tells him to go inside through the back door.

She then drives to his father’s house and gives him her boyfriend’s phone saying they had a fight and she didn’t know his location.

After she left Macabasco’s house, she can be heard on the video telling someone about the beatings during a phone call. She also stated that she made Cruz strip to his boxers and socks, dumped cold water on him, drove him to the mountains near Red Rock, and made him walk home.

Cruz admitted to police during an interview that she drove Macabasco to the park and desert where he was beaten. She told police it was in retaliation for the alleged sexual assault.

Macabasco was also placed under arrest.

According to his arrest report, the beating was the result of accusations by a younger girl. She told police that she started communicating with Macabasco via Instagram. On Jan. 25, he reportedly asked her for nude photos. He then persuaded her to let him pick her up to go see the snow on Jan. 26.

She says he took her to Olympia Sports Park and forced her to have oral sex with him.

Police say they also spoke to two other girls who had similar stories.

Macabasco is facing 4 counts of sexual assault and one count of lewdness with a child age 14 or 15.

Wingco and Cruz are being charged with conspiracy, first-degree kidnapping and battery resulting in substantial bodily harm.

Saenz-De-Tejad was is facing conspiracy and first-degree kidnapping charges.
