LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A man is dead after being shot early Sunday morning near Vegas Valley Drive and Mountain Vista Street.
The Clark County coroner later identified the deceased as 51-year-old Shawn Ryan Swan of Las Vegas. He died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide.
Police say ShotSpotter recorded several gunshots in the area and they received multiple 9-1-1 calls around 8:30 a.m. about shots fired.
They discovered a man who had been shot multiple times in the 4500 block of Carriage Park Drive.
The investigation led by LVMPD Homicide detectives indicates the victim and a Black male adult were in a verbal dispute with each other.
Police say at some point, both men pulled out handguns and the one male was shot.
No one has been arrested at this time.
