A man is in custody in an armed robbery and car theft in Summerlin Tuesday morning.
Police said a man demanded a woman's purse while holding a gun in the 1900 block of Evening Glow Drive, near Rampart Boulevard and Hillpointe Road. He then took off in her car.
However, he didn't make it far. Police said he tried ditching the car and running for it in a gated community about 10 minutes away in the 700 block of Peachy Canyon Circle, near Canyon Run and Town Center drives. That was where police took him into custody.
The suspect was reportedly located through the Find My iPhone app since the woman had her iPhone in her purse.
