The North Las Vegas Fire Department is investigating a fire Monday night as arson.
A man was taken into custody in connection the fire, which happened at a single-story home at the corner of Nelson Avenue and Spear Street, not far from North Las Vegas Boulevard and Carey Avenue.
Two people were injured as a result of the fire. One was taken to UMC Trauma while the second was treated at the scene. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
There was an estimated $20,000 in damages.
