The Clark County coroner has identified a man killed in a shooting Tuesday.
39-year-old Jose Luis Vasquez died after the incident around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 2800 block of South Decatur Boulevard, near Pennwood Avenue.
One male was detained at the scene. Preliminary information suggests that a man shot his neighbor who died at the scene.
Police are investigating it as self-defense. The shooter claims a man came into his apartment and tried to attack him with a knife.
No other details have been released at this time.
