Emanuel Najera Flores is facing 1st-degree murder charges after allegedly abusing a 2-year-old child.
Flores was first arrested on Child Abuse charges on July 28. The child was taken to the hospital upon his arrest. Medical staff said the 2 year old suffered from brain bleeds and skull fractures among other injuries.
Police say Flores was taking care of the child when the injuries were inflicted.
The child was in the hospital for several hours before dying from his wounds.
An autopsy revealed the child's injuries were consistent with blunt force trauma. His death was ruled a homicide.
Flores was rebooked in the Clark County Detention Center on murder charges after the autopsy.
