LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A 21-year-old man is facing a murder charge after a deadly shooting took place in east Las Vegas at the end of March.

Police were initially called to the 4800 block of Sacks Drive, near Tropicana Avenue and Boulder Highway, to investigate reports of a shooting just before 11 p.m. on March 26.

Officers located a victim in the roadway suffering from apparent gunshot wounds at that location. This man was then transported to the Sunrise Trauma Center but later pronounced deceased.

Another man was also with the victim during the incident but was not hurt.

Investigators said the two were riding their bikes when they encountered a group of men when one of the group members pulled out a gun and began firing.

The suspected shooter, later identified as 21-year-old Kejuan Davis, was able to leave the scene before officers arrived.

However, Davis was then picked up on other warrants after a fight broke out in the 2500 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard on April 10, and homicide detectives rebooked him on a murder charge connected to the March shooting.

The 21-year-old was transported to the Clark County Detention Center and is facing one count of murder and one count of attempted murder.

Anyone with further information on the incident was urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
