25-year-old Mauricio Miranda was arrested and charged with fatally shooting another man in North Las Vegas.
Police were called to the 3700 block of Reseda Circle, Near Pecos Road and Las Vegas Boulevard, around 11:30 p.m. November 3. Officers found a 24-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Investigators say the victim had been with Miranda just before the shooting. The incident was initially reported as an accident, but detectives determined it was a homicide. Miranda was subsequently booked at the Las Vegas City Detention and charged with murder.
The Coroner's Office will release the identity of the victim once next of kin have been notified.
