The man charged in a deadly shooting on the Las Vegas Strip appeared before a judge Wednesday for a status check.
Police allege Ammar Harris is responsible for a shooting and fiery crash that killed three people in 2013.
Harris is currently serving 16 years to life on rape and robbery convictions, along with an additional five years for bribing prison guards.
His murder trial is expected to begin Oct. 12.
